Briefing on the BBQ event and activities Day 17th August 2024: Capitalising on a rare sunny day in Manchester, we hosted a delicious BBQ at our Gorton-based Parenthood Hub! Local families came together for a fun-filled day by the grill, sharing laughs, stories, and great food. 35 Family members joined the even.
The opportunity was used to launch the Facebook Account and the WhatsApp account.
The ain is to reach women and other supporting family members across greater Manchester in person and virtually.
The event consisted of dining together, networking, making friends and group discussions. Information was collected to use in implementing changes desired by people. Everybody joined the Whatsapp group and requested to be kept updated on activities. Currently there are 27 members in the group. The most repeated theme was the importance of using the safe space and access to talk to other women.
It was also useful for the women to find that we run a counselling service.
We meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month 10.00 am -1.00pm.

We are honoured to have a Guest Speaker to empower us on: “Pelvic Floor”.
We will be having many more activities such us: Networking Breakfast, Health Hour, Dancing, Health Check and children play
